Last year we ran a series of Intro to Multiverse Mapping events.
Multiverse Mapping is our method for making sense of the world so you can act in it – especially when the path isn't clear.
People kept asking us for a recording. We resisted for a long time. We wanted to keep it live because there were live exercises involved. We also wanted to give ourselves lots of iterations to get the session right before setting it loose.
Then last month, Kyle Soo (shout out Kyle) asked if we had a Multiverse Mapping explainer he could share with people.
So we finally made the recording. It's now a tight hour-long video, free to watch, packed with stories, examples and practical steps.
If you've ever found yourself in a meeting that was so high-level
it felt disconnected from reality ... or such a deep dive into nitty gritty details that you lost track of why you were even there ... this is for you.
Grab a pencil and paper! To get the effect of the live exercises, you can pause the video and play along.
Watch: Intro to Multiverse Mapping
Amongst other things, you'll learn:
- How stakeholders and workers can collaborate strategically, even though they’re operating with wildly different perspectives.
- The list of behaviours that are both out of your control AND critical for your success.
- The enabling reality that most other mapping exercises avoid like the plague.
- How simply ordering coffee can shed light on complex products and services.
- Why your brain’s biggest superpower is also its biggest weakness.
- The trick to turn that weakness into an even greater strategic superpower.
- The shocking (but so so common) origin story that sparked the development of Multiverse Mapping.
At the end of the video, we share these options for possible next steps:
- Go for it – if you love figuring things out through trial and error and you have the time, there's enough in the video to learn how to Multiverse Map for yourself.
- Learn more – for facilitators and leaders who want to master Multiverse Mapping in depth (and fast), take our 4-hour self-paced course.
- Get hands-on help – book a 90-minute Cartography Session. You’ll leave with clarity about what's blocking you and exactly what to do next.
- Still not sure – grab a 25-minute coffee call, no strings. We'll help you figure out what you need.
